The Study Visit for the ” Investment Development and Empowerment Action ( IDEA ) ” project was successfully held in Arta on Thursday and Friday 19 – 20 September.
The purpose of the Study Visit was to exchange good practices and understand the status and maturity of the Social Investment market in the Arta region. The visits focused on identifying best practice and funding mechanisms to support Social Investment and Social and Solidarity Entities and businesses.
The aim of the IDEA project is to combine supply and demand for Social Investment as well as the study and specialization of hybrid tools to finance actors and actions in the third sector of economy, locally and regionally.
Representatives of the project partners participated in the Study Visit:

- Municipality of Arta
On the first day of the Study Visit, representatives of the project partners visited the local authorities: the Municipality of Artaion, the Arta Regional Unit and the Arta Chamber.
On the same day, the partners’ representatives also had the opportunity to discuss with representatives of the Arta Agricultural Poultry Cooperative
On Friday, the visits focused on potential investors, such as ASEA Rural Kiwi Cooperative and Karalis SA.
On the same day, IDEA project partners visited the South Epirus – Amvrakikos Development Company – OTA SA. (ETANAM SA OTA) and completed their Educational Meetings with the Art Association of Professional Craftsmen.
The Study Visit concluded with a meeting of the project partners, where the importance and results of the Study Visit were assessed, and the strategy to be followed for direct and close cooperation with public and private stakeholders in the area. of Arta, in order to create a sustainable Social Investment ecosystem.
